Our Open Recertification Course is open to all graduates of wilderness medical training courses of 64 hours or longer with a current Wilderness First Responder certification.

The Wilderness EMS Upgrade Course builds on the EMS professional’s training and expertise to meet the special challenges of unconventional settings. Ideal for EMT’s, Paramedics, RN’s,MD’s, who want hands on skills and experience to enhance their skills working with professional rescue teams or on their own adventures. CME hours available for Paramedic and EMT recertification.

Wilderness Advanced Life Support

The Wilderness Advanced Life Support (WALS®) is Wilderness Medical Associates International’s most advanced level course. This course is ideally suited for an MD wanting to work as a Physician Advisor for a rescue team, or group operating in remote areas. Open to RN’s, Paramedics, PA’s, and MD’s this is a wide ranging and engaging class, with lots of discussion and hands on skills practice. Level 1 CME’s available.
